HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 2U Server

The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 is a 2U dual-socket rack server — HPE's flagship general-purpose enterprise platform — configured here with 2× Intel Xeon Gold 6130, 128 GB DDR4 and an 8-bay 2.5" SFF hot-plug front backplane.

Each Xeon Gold 6130 (Skylake-SP) contributes 16 cores / 32 threads at 2.1 GHz base / 3.7 GHz turbo, 22 MB L3 and a 125 W TDP — 32 cores / 64 threads total. The board is built on the Intel C621 chipset with dual LGA-3647 (Socket P) sockets and 24 DIMM slots across 12 memory channels, scaling to 3 TB of DDR4 registered/load-reduced memory. The 128 GB shipped here runs registered ECC.

Storage is driven by the HPE Smart Array P408i-a controller with 2 GB flash-backed write cache, supporting RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 across the 8× SFF bays. HPE iLO 5 with Agentless Management delivers out-of-band console, power, virtual-media and firmware control. Dual redundant hot-plug Flex Slot power supplies and up to 8 PCIe 3.0 expansion slots (via riser cages) complete the platform. 868703-B21 is the HPE 8SFF CTO chassis part number.

DDR4 registered/load-reduced ECC in HPE-coded SmartMemory — e.g. HPE 32GB DDR4-2933 RDIMM (P00924-B21). With Xeon Gold 6130 (Skylake), modules clock at 2666 MT/s. Populate per HPE balanced-channel rules.

Compatible drives & GPUs

HPE SmartDrive SFF carriers (SAS/SATA/NVMe). A single-slot, low-profile accelerator such as the NVIDIA Tesla T4 installs in a PCIe riser with the high-airflow fan kit. Non-HPE drives such as the Seagate ST1200MM0098 require an HPE tray and HPE-firmware drive.
