Cisco Nexus 93180YC-EX Data-Center Switch

The Cisco Nexus 93180YC-EX is a 1U fixed data-center switch with 48× 1/10/25-Gbps SFP28 downlink ports and 6× 40/100-Gbps QSFP28 uplinks — a line-rate leaf / top-of-rack platform for 25G server access and 100G spine fabric.

Built on Cisco's first-generation Cloud Scale ASIC (LS1800FX), it forwards 3.6 Tbps at up to 2.5 Bpps with roughly 1 µs port-to-port latency and a 40 MB shared buffer. It operates in two modes: standalone NX-OS for classic L2/L3 and VXLAN BGP-EVPN fabrics, or ACI leaf mode under an APIC controller.

Line-rate Layer 2/3 includes VXLAN routing and bridging, BGP-EVPN, Segment Routing, and native hardware streaming telemetry with flow-table analytics. Dual redundant hot-swap power supplies and hot-swap fan trays support port-side-intake or port-side-exhaust airflow; a Broadwell control-plane CPU handles programmability via NX-API, Python, Puppet/Chef and Ansible.
